Less and less is missing from Björk’s two Italian dates, scheduled for September 12 in Milan and September 23 in Bologna. Advance sales are open on Ticketone, Ticketmaster and Vivaticket.
Five years away from Italy, a European tour is coming up to criss-cross the continent, from Portugal to the Czech Republic, and, yes, here too this time. Björk is ready to make us dream with a new magnificent production and a one-of-a-kind show that has received rave reviews at The Shed in New York, the singer’s artistic residence. A performance intended to unite the Icelandic artist’s last two studio albums. utopia (2017) e Fossorareleased in 2022.
Speaking on the start of the tour, which will begin in Lisbon on September 1, Björk said: “cornucopia has always been understood as one world, both for utopia than for the newly released album Fossora. I’m really looking forward to these two worlds colliding at a premiere in southern Europe this autumn.”
A show that is a parallel universe composed of digital images specially created by media artists Tobias Gremmler, Andy Huang, Nick Knight and M/M that dialogue with the scenography designed by Chiara Stephenson. Also on stage were the seven Viibra flutists, then clarinettists, a harpist, percussion, electronics and a range of bespoke instruments integrated into the innovative surround sound system, including a bespoke reverberation chamber.
The first Italian appointment will take place on September 12th at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan. Instead, here are all the dates of the tour:
