The images shared by locals on social media are nothing short of impressive, showing completely flooded streets and desperate people trying to escape the violence of the water and mud by climbing onto the roofs of their homes and waiting for help. At least 5,000 displaced people are currently waiting for new and safer accommodation.
As is well known, the Romagna artist has an extreme sensitivity and therefore could not help expressing all his confusion to his “neighbors” whose lives were destroyed by the flood.
